Common Questions

Things buyers want to know.

If your question is not answered here, drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

What is the cost of sprung wood flooring per sq ft?

Canadian maple (FIBA/DIN 18032): premium per sqft. European beech (EN 14904): mid-range per sqft. Engineered oak: entry-level per sqft. Price includes: subfloor system, hardwood, installation, sanding, sealing, and line marking. A standard basketball court (28x15m) ranges from 12 lakhs to 35+ lakhs.

Which wood is best for indoor sports flooring?

Canadian maple is the gold standard — FIBA, NBA, and Olympics all use maple. It's dense, shock-absorbent, and has consistent ball bounce. European beech is excellent for multi-use halls. Oak is a durable budget option. All are sustainably sourced with FSC certification available.

How long does wood sports floor installation take?

Maple: 4 to 8 weeks depending on hall size. Includes: moisture testing, screed preparation, subfloor installation (spring battens or pads), hardwood laying (22mm tongue-and-groove), sanding (3 passes), sealing (3 coats of Bona sport lacquer), and line marking. Beech and oak are similar timelines.

Do you provide sanding and refinishing services?

Yes, we offer complete sanding and refinishing: dust-free sanding, court cleaning, crack repair, resealing with 2-3 coats of sports lacquer, and fresh line marking. Recommended every 5-8 years depending on usage. Full resurface takes 7-10 days per court.

What subfloor systems do you offer?

Three systems: (1) Spring-loaded timber battens — area-elastic, DIN 18032-2, best for basketball; (2) Elastic rubber pads — point-elastic, EN 14904, versatile for multi-use; (3) Combined system — area + point elastic, premium, for professional arenas. We assess your sports programme and recommend the optimal system.

Is maple flooring better than synthetic for basketball?

For competitive indoor basketball, maple is unmatched — ball rebound, shock absorption, and player feel are superior to any synthetic surface. However, maple requires climate control (30-50% RH), regular maintenance, and higher upfront cost. For community centres, schools, and outdoor courts, synthetic surfaces are more practical. We help you make the right choice for your facility.
