What's under your feet.

A cushioned acrylic tennis court is built in 8 layers over 4 weeks. Each coat has a specific function — from the asphalt base to the colour finish.

Colour Finish
0.5 mm

2 coats of 100% acrylic colour coating. UV-stable pigments in Blue, Green, Red or custom. Provides the playing surface texture and line-marking base.

Texture Coats
1.5 mm

3 coats of acrylic mixed with graded silica sand (80–120 mesh). Creates the ITF pace rating and controlled ball skid. Sand content tuned for Class 2 (medium-fast) or Class 3 (medium).

Cushion Coat
2–3 mm

2 coats of cushioned acrylic with SBR rubber granules (1–3mm). The shock absorption layer. Reduces player impact and extends playing comfort.

Resurfacer
1 mm

1 coat of acrylic resurfacer over asphalt. Fills voids, seals the surface, and creates a uniform bond for the cushion and texture layers.

Asphalt Base
200 mm

50mm dense bituminous macadam (DBM) over 150mm wet-mix macadam (WMM). Compacted to Marshall stability >800kg. Provides structural strength and weather resistance.

Common Questions

Things buyers want to know.

If your question is not answered here, drop us a line — we reply within 24 hours.

Acrylic vs artificial grass — which is better?

Cushioned acrylic (hard court) is the most popular choice in India — durable, consistent bounce, ITF Class 2 rated, and works year-round. Artificial grass offers a softer playing experience, lower joint impact, and can look stunning but requires more maintenance (brushing, sand infill management). Choose acrylic for competitive play and low maintenance; grass for aesthetics and comfort.

How long does tennis court construction take?

Cushioned acrylic: 3 to 5 weeks including base preparation, acrylic layer application (4-6 coats), and curing time. Artificial grass: 2 to 3 weeks. Conversion of an existing court: 1 to 2 weeks. Weather is the main variable — acrylic needs dry conditions for curing.

Can you resurface an existing court?

Yes, court resurfacing is one of our most popular services. We repair cracks, level depressions, apply new cushion layers, and finish with fresh colour coating. A full resurface takes 7 to 10 days and gives your court 5-8 additional years of life. We also upgrade lighting and fencing during resurfacing projects.

What does it cost per square foot?

Cushioned acrylic hard court: ₹90–140 per sqft — the most popular choice in India, ITF Class 2 rated, with 4-6 layer coating system. Artificial grass: ₹110–160 per sqft for a softer playing experience with sand infill. Clay: ₹70–110 per sqft for European-style courts (rare in India). A standard 23.77m × 10.97m court ranges from ₹2.5 lakhs to ₹5.5+ lakhs depending on surface, fencing, and lighting.

Do you provide nets, posts and fencing?

Yes, we supply ITF-compliant net post systems (round or square posts with internal winders), centre straps, and premium nets. Fencing: 3m+ high chain-link with windbreak netting, or glass-backed for premium courts. We also install umpire chairs, spectator benches, and ball-court dividers.

How often does the surface need resurfacing?

Acrylic courts: every 5 to 7 years depending on usage and maintenance. Signs you need resurfacing: colour fading, surface cracking, inconsistent bounce, and slippery patches. Artificial grass: brushing and infill management annually, major refresh every 8-10 years. We offer annual maintenance contracts.
